Title: Clairaudience: new music from electronic voice phenomena
Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) can be defined as voices or sounds detected in recorded media that are unexplained by known physical principles. Nine composers were invited to create pieces using such sounds as the basis for their composition, resulting in a collection of twelve unique views of this phenomenon, including My Heart Sings - Silent (Welstead), Take a Deep Breath, Vox Phasmatis, Almost . . . (David Bohn), Type I error [111306-011107] (Shockley), Disturbances (Morris), No Retribution, Voices (James Bohn), Rose of the World (Lyon), Awful Vegetables (Malsky), Remembrance (Mollerskov), & Ghost vs. Robot (Kenty).
